The "DAQStudio" professional studio of scenography - of the "DangeloQuerzola" srl was born in October 2015 in order to be able to satisfy the requests of the various types of clients. The company is composed of the two founding members: Lucia D’Angelo and Cristina Querzola.
The activities of the DAQStudio range from television set design to theater set design, from the preparation of important national and international events to the care of museum structures, from the staging of concerts and fashion shows to the realization of important concepts store.
The multidisciplinary staff is led by Lucia D’Angelo and Cristina Querzola who have extensive experience in television set design and theater. The experience of the two set designers translates into great technical competence and attention to detail in the many projects carried out.
After working with leading stage design professionals, both in Rai, in Mediaset and in the theater, the professional paths of Lucia D'Angelo and Cristina Querzola intersect in the Cinecittà Studios in Rome, where both, for many editions, collaborate, to the scenography of the well-known TV program "Buona Domenica". We are around the mid-nineties, and from that moment they will work in symbiosis.
As set assistants, they contribute to the preparation of international events such as the "G8 Summit" and the "NATO Russia Summit". They participate in the conception and realization of important stands for "Piaggio" and "Kodak".
Since 2001 they collaborate permanently with the production company Fascino, where, in addition to taking care of the image of some very famous programs like "C'e posta per te" and "Uomini e Donne", they sign the scenography of "Vero Amore", "Volere Volare ”,“ The Winner is ”. The recent editions of "House Party", "Pequenos Gigantes", "Selfie le cose cambiano", "La scelta, speciale Uomini e Donne", "Temptation Island Vip", as well as all the editions of the "Music Summer Festival" which in 2017 and in 2018 it becomes the "Wind Summer Festival". They create the scenic layout of the theatrical performance "Io Ballo", the sets of the historic "Maurizio Costanzo Show" at the De Paolis and Studi Voxson establishments and the latest edition at the Lumina studios in Rome and the other TV program by Maurizio Costanzo "L'Intervista".
In 2017 they are chosen to sign the scenography of the tenth birthday of the thematic channel of Mediaset, Iris, dedicated to the great cinema: - "I 10 anni di Iris".
For eighteen editions, including the last season (2019/20), they designed and designed the sets for the talent show "Amici di Maria de Filippi" (day time and primetime). During the 2013/14 edition of the primetime di Amici, they met Giuliano Peparini, artistic director of the program, with whom they collaborate.
In the theater season 2015/16 they sign the scenography of the timeless and Ciaicovskian ballet "Lo Schiaccianoci" for the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, which recorded, from the first performance to the last, sold out.
In 2016 they take care of the staging of the show "Welcome", a special project of the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia on the theme of migrants.
In December 2017 they set up and curated, for the Music Hall of Antwerp in Belgium, the installation, in a contemporary key, of the Christmas ballet par excellence: "De Notenkraker". The show is sold out for all the scheduled evenings.
In July 2018, for the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, inserted in the important event "Roma Opera OPERA" which takes place in the marvelous scenery of the Baths of Caracalla, they sign the scenes for the ballet "Romeo and Juliet" - direction and choreography of Giuliano Peparini, the conductor of the orchestra on the notes of Prokofiev is the maestro David Levi. The show, given the enormous success, was included in the program for the current season, (2019), in Caracalla.
September 2018: consultancy and assistance to the scenes and related needs for the choreography and theater direction of Giuliano Peparini for the show-event by Claudio Baglioni called "Al Centro". Show created to celebrate 50 years of the artist's career. The Tour, started from the Arena of Verona hosting more than 50 thousand spectators in three days, to then continue with over 50 replicas in the major Italian cities, always marking sold out.
December 2018: set up and curated the scenography for the Christmas campaign for the AS Roma football team, which plays in the Italian Premier League.
LUCIA D’ANGELO : eclectic set designer - sketcher, theatre design , television design, international events and architecture.
After graduating in Applied Art at the Istituto Statale d’Arte of Comiso she moved to Rome.She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, where she graduated in 1990 in Scenography.
Prior to completing her studies, she participated in and won the scenery competition “Francesco Geracà”, organised by Teatro Massimo Bellini of Catania in the framework of the prestigious Festival Belliniano, on Donizetti’s “Il Campanello dello speziale” and Pennisi’s “Descrizione dell’Isola Ferdinandea”.
She studied at the most important workshops and scenography’s studios in the capital.
Since 1991 she has been the assistant to the scenographer Stefania Conti, she collaborated with her, in her Studio of Architecture and Scenography, until 1997 designing and setting up the scenes of numerous successful TV programs, including “Tira e Molla”, five editions of “La Corrida” by Corrado Mantoni and Format for Greek and Spanish television.
Meanwhile she is also dedicated to interior design for famous villas and important stores in Rome, where she sets up fashion shows.
Between 1997 and 2000, she expanded her collaboration as a sketcher and designer with the major television and theatrical professionals of scenography for programs such as “Vivere Bene”, “Carramba”, “Fantastica italiana”, “Stranamore”, and “Il pranzo è servito”.
CRISTINA QUERZOLA is a very versatile designer. She has worked in television, theatre and has some movie experience.
After graduating at the Istituto Statale d’Arte of Trieste, she moved to Rome, where in 1994 she graduated in Scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts.As a student, she assisted Riccardo Bocchini with whom she collaborated with in the production of the scenes of well-known television program “Non è la Rai”.
Her training continues in numerous scenography studios and ateliers, where she contributed to the production of programs such as “Bulli e Pupe”, “L’avvocato del diavolo”, “Complotto di famiglia”, “Scherzi a parte”, “Sgarbi quotidiani”, “Forum”, “Casa Castagna”.
For several years, she also collaborated in the design, realisation and setting up of important museums throughout Italy.
In 1999 she followed Steve Van Matre’s Interpretive Design Workshop (environmental communication).
